    Little Dragons Martial Arts

Little Dragons is where it starts. Three- to six-year-olds are not small adults, so we do not teach them like adults — classes move fast, drills stay short, and every one ends with a kid who feels a little braver than when they walked in.

    Benefit 1

    Confidence

How your child builds real confidence

Confidence isn't a pep talk — it's proof. Every class your child earns a small win: a new stance, a clean kick, a stripe on the belt. Stack enough of those and it shows up at school, on the field and at home.

    1. 1.1Speaking up in front of the class
    2. 1.2Belt stripes that mark real progress
    3. 1.3Instructors who notice the effort, not just the result

    Focus

    Sharpening your child's focus

Kenpo is a long chain of details — feet, hands, eyes, timing. To get it right your child has to lock in, and that practice of paying attention carries straight into homework and listening at home.

    1. 2.1Structured drills with clear targets
    2. 2.2Eye contact and "Yes sir / Yes ma'am" habits
    3. 2.3Short, focused rounds that build attention span

    Benefit 3

    Respect

    Respect, taught on the mat

Bowing in, lining up, helping a newer student — respect is built into every class. Your child learns to treat instructors, classmates and family the way a black belt would.

    1. 3.1Character lesson in every class
    2. 3.2Respect for parents, teachers and peers
    3. 3.3Older students model the way

    What They Work On

    Listening the first time

Following directions, waiting their turn and keeping their hands to themselves — practiced on the mat until it comes home with them.

    Balance & coordination

Kicks, stances, hops and hand drills that build the motor skills every sport after this one depends on.

    Courage in a group

Answering out loud, standing in front of the class, trying something new while other kids watch.

    Their first real basics

Actual Kenpo blocks, strikes and stances — scaled down, never dumbed down.

    The Method

    How We Do It:
    The Inner Dragon Class

Every class runs the same five steps, in the same order, every time. Structure is what makes progress feel inevitable instead of accidental.

    01

    Warm Up

Five minutes to get bodies moving and heads in the room. Nobody trains cold, and nobody stands around waiting for class to start.

    02

    Basics

Fifteen minutes on the fundamentals — stances, blocks, strikes. Kenpo is built on repetition done correctly, and this is where standards get held.

    03

    Character Development

Two minutes, every class, on one idea worth taking home: leadership, responsibility, giving back. Small and constant beats a lecture once a year.

    04

    Material

Twenty minutes on their current rank material — forms, techniques, sparring, weapons, XMA. Everyone works on the thing that is next for them.

    05

    Cool Down & Bow Out

Stretch, a quick check-in on what improved today, and a bow out. Kids leave knowing exactly what they are working on next time.

The Three Values We Actually Teach

    1. Leadership & Personal Development
Be the person others want to follow. Take responsibility when things go wrong, and look for chances to lift the people around you.
    2. Respect & Positive Attitude
Show respect to instructors, teammates, and yourself — then bring energy that lifts the room. How you carry yourself on the mat is how you carry yourself everywhere else.
    3. Giving Back
Older students help younger ones, because teaching is how you master anything. It is also how a Thanksgiving food drive ends up feeding 5,000 people over 17 years.

    01

The only real Traditional Kenpo school here with a true XMA program

Classical Kenpo curriculum and standards, paired with an actual Extreme Martial Arts program — forms, weapons, tricking. Most schools in Southern NH offer one or the other, watered down.

    02

Voted best in Southern NH nine years running

Nine consecutive years of community votes, three Hall of Fame inductions, Small Business of the Year, and hundreds of state and national titles brought back by our competition team.

    03

35+ years on the mat, taught by the owner

Shihan Randy Allen holds 7 black belts including 6th Degree in Kenpo, Goju Ryu and Jiu-Jitsu, and has trained with the Bujinkan and the Japanese National Goju Federation. He is still on the floor teaching.

    04

Trained in how kids actually learn — not just how to kick

Certifications in Early Childhood Education, DHHS Registered Site Director, Kidsafe Network Child Safety Expert, Lil Iguana Stranger Awareness Instructor, and over 1,000 bully defense and stranger awareness programs delivered.

    05

We hold the line with warmth

Eleven years of doing this one way: push kids in a believe-in-you way, hold the standard, and never confuse harshness with high expectations or babying with kindness.

    06

Programs for every age, under one roof

Little Dragons at 3, Juniors, Teen and Adult Kenpo, and Fitness Kickboxing — families train together in Hudson instead of driving to three different places.
